Can I donate textbooks in Albuquerque?

Yes. I take textbooks of any age and any edition, this semester’s included: college course texts, CNM and UNM course packs and lab manuals, nursing and medical textbooks, law casebooks and bar-prep sets, engineering, accounting and computer science books, K-12 readers, professional certification books, foreign-language textbooks and music method books. Highlighted, written-in, water-damaged, out-of-edition and missing-the-access-code copies are all accepted.

Buyback counters and trade-in sites take a narrow list of current titles, and the Albuquerque and Bernalillo County library doesn’t accept textbooks at all. Here, every textbook is welcome, and there are free ways to hand them over:

For UNM students at the end of the semester: bring the whole stack, current editions included, and skip the sorting. I pick up at UNM dorms (Hokona, Coronado, Laguna-DeVargas, Lobo Village, Casas del Rio, Lobo Rainforest) and off-campus housing anywhere in the metro, scheduled by route, and the drop box is a short drive from campus. See UNM textbook donations, or the full guide to donating textbooks in Albuquerque.

Need books gone in Albuquerque?

Free pickup, any condition, scheduling by route. Or use the 24/7 drop box, a covered box outside the gate, by the road, at 5445 Edith Blvd NE.
