This handsome cloth-bound catalogue accompanies "O'Keeffe and Moore," the exhibition that paired Georgia O'Keeffe's New Mexico canvases with Henry Moore's reclining bronzes to reveal how two giants of modernism arrived at kindred forms from opposite ends of the Atlantic. Both were obsessed with bone, stone, hollow, and horizon; the cover image of a pierced travertine mass against desert blue captures the conversation perfectly. Edited by Anita Feldman, formerly of the Henry Moore Foundation and now at the San Diego Museum of Art, the book draws on essays from O'Keeffe and Moore specialists alike.

For New Mexico the catalogue carries special weight: after opening in San Diego in 2023, the show traveled to the Albuquerque Museum that October before continuing to Montreal, bringing O'Keeffe's adopted desert landscape into direct dialogue with one of Britain's foremost sculptors. A first-edition printing of a serious museum catalogue, well illustrated and carefully produced, is the kind of reference that holds its value to scholars and collectors of O'Keeffe's Southwestern work.
